How to Wash Panther Vision LED Hats

How to Wash Panther Vision LED Hats

, by Chas Waters, 2 min reading time

Panther Vision LED hats are useful for indoor and outdoor applications. Whether you use a POWERCAP® for your job or enjoy going on hikes with your hands-free accessory, washing your purchases keeps them fresh for the next wear. Panther Vision offers multiple POWERCAP® styles, and most of our products are made of different materials.

Use the general guide below to learn how to wash a Panther Vision cap.

1. Power Down the Hat

Washing any of our POWERCAP® products will require you to turn the front-facing LEDs off. Panther Vision hats have manual switches located along the brim. Use your finger to filter through the brightness settings until all LEDs are powered down.

2. Remove the POWERCAP® Batteries

Be sure to take out the CR2032 coin cell batteries before washing a POWERCAP® accessory. The batteries in our traditional caps are located within the sweatband section. LED lighted beanies have batteries within a cut-out along the back. Open the protective battery cover and remove the coin cell batteries with your fingers.

3. Apply Warm Water

Panther Vision POWERCAP® products are not machine washable. You must wash these accessories by hand. Begin the wash process by applying warm water to the inner and outer surfaces of your cap or beanie.

Keep the water away from the battery compartment and the lights.

4. Spread Soap or a Mild Detergent

Mild detergents work best to lift dirt and odors from Panther Vision POWERCAP® products. Use a washcloth or your fingers to move suds across the inner and outer materials. Keep soaps and detergents away from LEDs and battery compartments.

Do not use any cleaning products that contain bleach, as this will alter the color of your accessory.

5. Rinse With Warm Water

Run warm water over your POWERCAP® product to rinse away the soap or detergent. Squeeze thicker sections of the hats to remove excess water from the materials.

6. Allow Your POWERCAP® to Air-Dry

Panther Vision LED hats should air-dry indoors. Allow your hat to dry for a minimum of 24 hours before wearing the accessory. Replace the batteries inside your POWERCAP® once the hat is completely dry.
